Hartford, Connecticut: Prepping for this year’s bridal show we wanted to create a booth that stood out. Something that made bride’s go…wwwhhhhhaaattttt? We wanted to make a statement, we wanted to be different and after we made it….we wanted to live in it. Bahahahaa…..who doesn’t love a tepee made of moss and flowers?!!! After constructing our teepee or tepee (turns out both spellings are acceptable) we covered it in hand picked moss. So. Much. Moss. It was time-consuming but oh-so-worth it! Pale pink and white garden roses, bright pink celosia and lavender roses, green and magenta hanging amaranthus, lady’s mantle, magenta stock, genestra and….PEONIES. Lots and lots of greens. We also added some real deal feathers straight from the farm, guinea hen, female peacock and whatever other feathers we found to top off the teepee. It smelled so fragrant. What a statement piece to add to a wedding as a backdrop for pictures….
We loved that the bridal show had a concrete floor instead of a crazy busy ugly carpet. It was the perfect look, in addition to our cow-hide rug (it’s available for rent, here). We had SO much fun meeting with 2016 and 2017 brides and what a hoot it was to see their reaction of the floral teepee. There is no better way to chat with a bride about her wedding day than face to face. We loved meeting each and every gal at the show!
