Why us? What sets us apart from other wedding design and event styling companies?

We at K.L.W. Design Co. handle every single wedding or event like it’s our own. Although there are other talented wedding stylists and designers, we have a specific niche — our style is gracefully rustic and “classic farmhouse”- an aesthetic that has always been part of our roots and our passion. We also have over 30 years experience in floral design. Not only can we style and design your rustic wedding or event,  we can provide the bouquets or floral arrangements needed to make your celebration truly memorable. Finally, we understand how important entertaining and hosting events are and, like most great hosts, we want your guests leaving with memories that last long after the festivities are over.

So, you’ve taken a peek and you like what you see, the next step is to submit our inquiry form here.  We then either set up a phone call, face-to-face meeting, or Skype- whichever you prefer- so we can find out a bit more about your event or wedding. The initial ‘meeting’ is free. We want you to feel comfortable and confident and this first interaction is to see if we are the right fit for one another. If you feel we are the right match, chances are we’re feeling the same way too!

What is your rate? How do you charge?

At K.L.W. Design Co., we don’t offer set packages, but work with each client to create a personalized quote based on what you need. After our initial meeting, once we’ve both decided that K.L.W. Design Co. is the right wedding or event stylist company for you, we then delve further. We like to find out about your desired style, your likes, your dislikes, favorite colors, hobbies, and more specific questions.  What are your expectations for your wedding day or event?  How many guests are you anticipating? All these details (and more) will help us determine the creative direction.  K.L.W. Design Co. will then go to the drawing board and create a quote. After the quote is reviewed and a contract signed, a 25% deposit is due to hold your date on our calendar.

Where are you located?

Based along the shoreline in a town called Waterford. We style weddings and events across Connecticut in Hartford, New Haven and Stamford, even into Newport and Providence, Rhode Island.

How much am I involved in the process?

Some clients wish to be hands-on, involved in every step of the process, others are more laid back and would prefer to let us drive. We are comfortable with either approach, ambitious enough to handle everything ourselves, but also patient and available to share all the behind-the-scene decisions.

Is K.L.W. Design Co. the same as a wedding planner? 

In short- no. We at K.L.W. Design Co. are wedding and event stylists. We beautify your event by designing, creating and styling the heck out of it. Throughout the rental and sourcing process, we can work with vendors, we can recommend vendors and most certainly can guide you. We even have some unique rental props and items of our own that are available for rent here. On the day of the event or wedding it is our job to set up the tablescapes and stations and the day after it is our responsibility to break down those areas as well.
